“Working with Traction was a pleasure from the outset. From the initial meeting and all through the creative process we were kept informed by team and felt very much part of the decision making. We could not have hoped for a better showcase of what Local Link is all about and Traction really captured the sentiment behind the scheme which is clearly evident across the bespoke supplement and video stories. Working with the team in Traction was a stress free experience and on a personal note the expertise and professionalism shone through with their honest and genuine approach to the project.”
Local Link
Our Task
To highlight the very positive contribution that Local Link has made across Ireland. This content, both written and visual, will serve to tell Local Link’s story, from their foundation right through to the present day. To also highlight how important that this vital service is in connecting rural and urban areas.
What we delivered
We produced a written publication and a series of videos to achieve Local Link’s aims.
The story of the Bord Na Mona Peat Processing plant. How important it was to the area as an employer. The devastating effects of its closure and how Local Link has helped to transport ex workers to training centres where they can re skill and integrate the work force.
94 year old Maura Armstrong was the first person to use the Local Link service in her area when it commenced service. Maura is an ambassador for local Link in terms of how the service has helped her over the years to get where she needs to go. Running her 26th marathon this year, Maura speaks freely about how valuable the service is for her and the other passengers that avail of the service.
Local Link provides a vital service to young and old alike. Local Link in Connemara carries kids and teenagers a number of times per week to the local boxing club. This is just another example of the important role that Local Link plays to connect rural and urban areas.
